How is it that I spend most of the week looking forward to the weekend, and then before I know it, Sunday night has approached and its already over!? Despite the fast pace of this past weekend, there were definitely some fun times (including lots of birthday celebrating). Friday afternoon meant serious roommate bonding time (aka. Target shopping and Qdoba) and then meeting up with friends to celebrate birthday numero uno. Generally the idea is to mature as you grow in years, but as witnessed in the accompanying pic...this isn't always the case :-).
Saturday brought birthday numero dos-my best buddy and his friend. We met at the bowling alley where some serious domination of my ego took place. My bowling skills just aren't up to par with these guys and their personally engraved bowling balls and gloves. But they still cheer for me when I get a strike (which happened twice on Saturday!). This was the big 4-0 birthday for my buddy and his parents got some delicious pizza and cake for us to munch on. I gave him Avatar on DVD for a present because that is one of the first movies we went and saw together. Luckily, I suffered no bowling injuries this time around, however we're up for a rematch tomorrow-so I could be in trouble. Here's the gang right before we dug into that cake!
A busy two weeks coming up before spring break-a MUCH needed break from the craziness of second semester senior year!
